Objective of the Courses

This set of three training courses is designed for those who are considering an agri-food business start-up, as well as those currently operating a small business, and anyone else interested in acquiring basic knowledge on innovation and entrepreneurship, and the basic international legal framework governing them.

The training programme addresses legal aspects for innovative businesses in the agri-food sector: trade and international agreements, Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual property Rights (TRIPS), the European Union’s external action, the European Union’s trade policy and trade agreements, and European and international commercial law. It also covers economic issues for innovative businesses, focusing on topics such as the development of startups, innovation and entrepreneurship, development of business plans, sustainable finance, venture capital and liability insurance, competition analysis, and technology transfer.
